Carers Week: Sailability Event

Boat trips on the beautiful Wimbleball Lake for Carers and the person they care for.

I the Carer agree to take responsibility for myself and for any attendees that I care for throughout the event. Support and assistance will be available from trained staff on the day.
I will arrange my own transport to and from the event.
I agree to wear and adhere to correct use of life jackets. Life Jackets are provided and must be worn. Cagoules are also provided if raining and Wheelchair Cagoules.
I understand that wheelchairs have access onto specialized boats, the wheelchair will be harnessed to the floor of the boat however any harnesses on the cared for within the wheelchair will need to be undone for safety reasons, we agree to this.

Free parking, accessible paths and building with accessible bathroom and shower room. 

Free Tea, Coffee and cakes are provided throughout the day. Please feel free to bring a picnic lunch with you.  

Sailability are fully insured and already run events for groups from Care Homes. They have adequate facilities, including wheelchair access, hoists and more. Please contact us if you have any prior concerns or questions so we can do our best to meet these for you. 

PLEASE NOTE SAT NAVS AND MOBILE PHONES DO NOT RECIEVE SIGNAL IN THIS AREA, PLEASE ENSURE YOU FAMILIARISE YOURSELF WITH DIRECTIONS AND PARKING WHEN BOOKING. EMAIL MAP AND DETAILS WILL BE SENT WHEN BOOKING IS CONFIRMED. 

PLEASE NOTE THIS EVENT IS WEATHER DEPENDENT. IF FOR ANY REASON THE EVENT WILL NOT GO AHEAD, YOU WILL BE CONTACTED VIA YOUR PHONE NUMBER PROVIDED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. IN THE EVENT OF BAD WEATHER AND CANCELLED SAILING TRIPS, WE MAY STILL RUN THE BOAT HOUSE PART OF THE EVENT WITH COFFEE AND CAKE AND THE OPPORTUNITY FOR THE PUBLIC TO EXPLORE THE GENERAL WIMBLEBALL WALKS.
