Macular Support Online Group

Join an online community of people with the same type of macular disease as you

Age-related macular degeneration is the most common form of macular disease in the UK today. The Macular Society has a network of support groups accessible over the phone and in person for people with AMD. The society also has groups that are specific to particular types of macular disease.

What are the groups for?

Macular Society peer support groups are attended by thousands of people every month with macular disease. People join the group to:

  • Learn more about macular disease
  • Connect with others who have macular disease
  • Hear from leading clinicians and sight loss professionals
  • Reduce feelings of isolation
  • Exchange hints and tips about living with macular disease
