CCS Village Agents are the small army of professionals delivering support to individuals for Somerset Carers.
Like Somerset Carers, CCS Village Agents are managed by the Community Council for Somerset, a charity dedicated to helping people, place and enterprise to help Somerset THRIVE!

If you care for someone with a mental health condition, (this may be the crisis team, community mental health services or the memory assessment service) you are able to get a Carers assessment and support from Somerset Foundation Trusts Carers service.
Spark Somerset coordinates Carers groups across Somerset both in-person and online. Join online forums or groups around subjects that interest you such as gardening, art and music can provide welcome relief for Carers and a chance to connect to others with shared interests and shared experiences.
Small, community-based care and support services that provide personal, flexible and responsive support and care give local people more choice and control over the support they get and offer an alternative to more traditional services.
Open Mental Health Carers
Support and services if you are supporting someone experiencing difficulties with their mental health. This could be a loved one, friend or family member.
Young Carers under 18 years old
Somerset County Council provides support, advice and respite breaks for children and young people under 18 who have substantial caring responsibilities at home.
Our Village Agents support all adult Carers (over 18 years old) and that includes Parent Carers.
In addition there is the Somerset Parent Carer forum who help parents who have children with a physical or mental health disability.
