We hear a lot about the benefits of being resilient these days – and that’s even more important for carers!
Resilience is the ability to adapt to difficult or challenging situations. When things get tough – you still experience all the emotions you need to, such as anger, grief and pain, but you’re able to keep functioning and bounce back quickly.
The good news is, resilience can be learned. We cannot always control our circumstances, but we can control how we respond to them.
Carers Collective believes understanding how our brain works, and how it responds to stress, is the first step to supporting you to cope better, build your resilience and boost your wellbeing.
They are holding a FREE WEBINAR: Resilience and Wellbeing for Carers, on Monday 11th September at 6.30pm – 7.15pm.
Hosted by Kerry Seymour from Inspired to Change, they will take you on a whistle stop tour of the brain, explaining why the brain responds the way it does to the day-to-day stressors and challenges that come with being a carer.
They will also talk through some simple tools and solutions to help you to encourage your brain to respond in a more helpful way to these challenges – helping you to take back control, prioritise your wellbeing and help you to be the carer that you want to be!
