Somerset Shared Reading Groups
Through a national charity called The Reader, we run a series of shared reading sessions across the libraries in Somerset. We meet once a week and read aloud a short story and a poem, discussing them as we go. There’s no homework – the reader leader brings the texts each week. For anyone who enjoys reading, or wants to discover more, it’s a lovely relaxed way to meet up with a group of like minded people. While the libraries are closed, we have been running groups by email and on Zoom. It’s completely free and open to everyone.
